Updated: Sunday, March 24 2013, 01:00 AM EDT
COLUMBUS -- One person is in critical condition after being shot during a robbery at the Travelodge on West Broad Street.

Shots rang out around 1:00 am on March 23, 2013 in the 1500 block of W. Broad Street.

According to a Lieutenant on scene, two people, Peter Hunter, 39, and Derrick Wade, 43, were caught fleeing the scene at the White Castle located at 1550 W Broad St, about 1000 feet from where the shooting took place.

The victim, Danny Low, 24, was transported in critical condition to Mount Carmel West Hospital.

Wade was later taken to Mt. Carmel West after it was discovered he had also been shot, three hours after the initial shooting.

Authorities believe Wade's wounds were caused by gunfire returned from the victim's weapon during the robbery.

Hunter and Wade have both been charged with aggravated robbery.
