COLUMBUS -- According to Port Columbus International Airport officials, a Delta flight arriving from Los Angeles overshot the end of a runway.
Officials reported no passengers were injured and the plane sustained no damage. Delta technicians are looking into the cause.
153 passengers and six crew members were on board. Responding fire crews evacuated the passengers onto shuttle buses that took the passengers back to the terminal.
No other arrivals or departures were impacted by the incident.
The reason the plane went off the runway remains under investigation.
FAA officials tell ABC 6/FOX 28 that the pilot may have turned and went into the grass. The FAA's investigation will take weeks to complete. Only the nose of the plane left the runway.
