Ohio Concussion Law Goes into Effect

Updated: Friday, April 26 2013, 07:16 PM EDT
COLUMBUS -- The state law that requires adults who coach youth sports to complete concussion training is now in effect.

House Bill 143 passed out of the General Assembly in December, 2012.

Those who direct, supervise or coach -- either on a paid or volunteer basis -- must complete an online training course on recognizing the signs and symptoms of concussions and head injuries, as well as brain injury management.

The course -- which is free -- can be found here
