Neighbors Teed Off about Golf Course Fence

DUBLIN -- Neighbors in Dublin are teed off about a proposed fence around the Muirfield Village Golf Club.
Some of the best golfers in the world play at the club and it's home to this year's President's Cup.
Neighbors are signing petitions to stop this new addition.
"You have a pretty community," said neighbor Marilyn Economou. "(It's) a beautiful community, keep it the way it is."
Muirfield and other top courses often put up temporary fences during big tournaments to keep people without a ticket out. This fence would be permanent though.
Some neighbors say this is partially an issue of fairness. There are strict rules for homeowners near the golf course.
"When the residents have such severe restrictions as to no fences, the color of their house, not having a little dog watch sign on their mailbox, it should be the same for everyone," Economou said. "If they can put a fence there, why can't I put a fence around my property?"
The Club said it's not commenting on the fence.
