COLUMBUS -- People in the Linden area continue to fight back against violence in their neighborhood.
It's been nearly a month since Kaewon Coleman was shot and killed on his way home from school.
A group has been meeting near where Coleman was shot at Bethel AME Church ever since the shooting.
"I believe in them because I believe in myself," said Dale Snyder. "I was them. That's why I care."
The group has met every week since the shooting. They're trying to come up with ways to stop the violence.
"I don't know no father out there that doesn't want a better community for their daughter, their son, for their grandmother, for their mother," he said.
The group has been getting people together to escort kids to school. They're also talking with Columbus school officials to see if dismissal times can be staggered so there aren't big crowds getting into fights.
They're hoping these small steps will make a big difference.
