MARION--A driver crashed into a home and narrowly missed the people inside when he was trying to get away from police.
Marion Police say the man drove a stolen car through a house around 1:30 AM Sunday on the corner of Klerx and Catherine Avenues.
Charlotte Callahan was in her bed when the car plowed through her bedroom. Callahan and her boyfriend were taken to a Marion hospital and treated for minor injuries. She's just glad they're alive.
"I know I got a guardian angel now," Callahan said.
Police say 23-year-old Cody Bosh was behind the wheel. Officers believe he stole the car while it was parked outside of Whitey's Tavern on Main Street Saturday evening.
John Persinger said the car belongs to him and it was taken while he left it running after friends jump started it.
"Went back out, my car was gone," Persinger said."
Persinger doesn't know the man who stole his car. The police pursuit ended when the car crashed into a fence and truck on Catherine Avenue.
Bosh, the driver, was flown to Grant. Columbus Police told ABC 6/ FOX 28 he tried to take off from the hospital Sunday morning, but was quickly captured. Police are investigating if the driver was under the influence.
