COLUMBUS -- Local businesses are scoring big as football fans get ready for the Super Bowl.
According CNNMoney, it’s estimated the US will spend more than 12 million dollars on game day, and most of that will be on food.
At GFS Marketplace in North Columbus, General Manager Grady Smith says his store has been extremely busy.
Over the last three days the store has been preparing party trays.
Smith says, “we’ve sliced more than 13-hundred pounds of meat and we’ll continue to slice up until kick-off.”
At Catering By Scott in Bexley, Executive Chef Scott Bast says his team has been preparing tasty treats.
Bast will make more than 2-thousand chocolate covered strawberry footballs for area parties.
So no matter which team wins the Super Bowl, in Columbus, local businesses are cashing in.
