COLUMBUS -- Christine Hoyer's family was all smiles when they saw her.  Hoyer arrived Tuesday evening at Port Columbus Airport after running in the Boston Marathon.

She witnessed the chaos and devastation as the two bombs exploded near the finish line of the race.

Hoyer says she finished the race about a half hour before the bombs went off, but she and some friends were headed back to the finish line, that's when they heard the explosions.

"We saw the bombs," she says.  "They came out from the bottom of the ground and the smoke went up."

She says runners had no idea what was going on and there was a lot of chaos.

"All of the folks that had come to watch were trying to run out as quickly as they possible could."

Hoyer says she will never forget what she witnessed, she says, " Truly the worst is seeing the victims and knowing there was loss of life."
