Local Cruise Passenger Delayed Getting Home, Tearful Reunion
Updated: Saturday, February 16 2013, 09:39 AM EST
COLUMBUS -- A woman is finally home with her family after flight delays following a cruise nightmare.
Lisa Miller, of Knox county, arrived at Port Columbus just before midnight Friday nearly two hours after her flight was scheduled to land.
Her husband, Jeremy Miller, her parents and two of the couple's four children waited patiently at the airport.
Lisa Miller was among the thousands of Carnival Triumph passengers who couldn't wait to get home after a nightmare cruise that left them without power and running water.
Jeremy Miller arrived at the airport with three dozen roses and even more bad news.
His wife's flight out of New Orleans was delayed which made her miss her connecting flight in Charlotte.
"I said you have to laugh about it at this point she said yeah I do she was laughing on the phone she said it's just unbelievable," said Jeremy Miller.
Jeremy Miller says a family cruise is in their future, despite what happened with the Carnival Triumph.
ABC6/FOX28 will have more on the tearful reunion Saturday.
