COLUMBUS — A landlord who spent time behind bars for housing code violations following a deadly Christmas Eve 2011 fire is on his way back to jail.
Sources tell ABC 6 Sam Vazirani was arrested at his office this morning and is being taken to the Franklin County Jail.
Franklin County Municipal Court documents outline allegations that Vazirani violated the terms of probation because he was involved in managing and dealing with real estate.
Judge Harland Hale had placed Vazirani on environmental probation and community control until April 2017.
Vazarani became the focus of concern after a house he rented caught fire in December 2011 killing three people, including a child.
Vazirani is accused of buying and selling properties under different names and company names. The City Attorney’s office is investigating.
Vazirani is expected to be arraigned in court Thursday.
He could face serving the remaining 510 days of his jail sentence if it is determined he violated his probation.
