Jury Selection in Craigslist Killings Case
Updated: Tuesday, February 19 2013, 07:46 PM EST
AKRON -- Jury selection has begun in the Craigslist killings trial at the Civic Theatre in Akron.
There are more than 200 potential jurors in the trial of Richard Beasley.
He's the man accused in the so called "craigslist killings" where three men were lured to Southeast Ohio on the promise of a job and then shot and killed.
The session at the arena was short and ended with a word of thanks from the judge.
Beasley is considered to be the "mastermind" behind this plot.
His younger "protege," Brogan Rafferty, was only 17-years-old at the time of the murders.
He was convicted last year of helping carry out these killings and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. He's been subpoenaed to testify in this case.
This trial is expected to last up to six weeks.
