Icy Roads for Friday Morning

COLUMBUS -- A layer of ice has covered everything outside. Roads and sidewalks are very slippery.
Because of this, most school districts closed for the day. Parents had to scramble and make childcare plans, but kids were happy for a three day weekend.
Many people have a morning commute that's double the amount of normal time.
We had icy conditions instead of snow because a warm front is moving through so the precipitation fell as rain up in the atmosphere, but it froze on contact since the ground temperatures were in the 20's.
Ice is much more treacherous than snow since it looks just like rain.
