Heath Police Officer Hospitalized After Multiple Cars Crash

HEATH -- A Heath Police officer and two others were taken to Licking Memorial hospital following a multiple-vehicle crash on Route 79 and Irvingwick.
Ohio Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the crash that involved a Heath Police cruiser. Troopers say the cruiser and two other vehicles were towed away.
After about an hour, troopers reopened the roads and cleared the crash scene shortly after 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
Heath Police say they are reviewing video from the cruiser however this is an Ohio Highway Patrol investigation.
The conditions of those injured were not immediately disclosed.
