DELAWARE COUNTY (Ken Hines) -- A hazardous material spill forced the closure of a Sunbury street on Monday afternoon.
Approximately 300 gallons of fertilizer ammonium polyphosphate spilled into a storm drain at the intersection of Evening and Morning Streets just before 1:30 p.m., according to Delaware Co. EMA.
From the storm drain, the material was transferred to a Hoover Reservoir tributary.
Evening St. is closed between Cherry and W. Granville Streets while Ohio EPA officials investigate the spill.
