UPDATE:  A hearing date was assigned in the Andy Katzenmoyer case.

The domestic relations court judge only set the hearing date.

No case details were discussed.

COLUMBUS -- Former Ohio State football star Andy Katzenmoyer has been arrested for violating a protection order.

Franklin County Sheriff's deputies arrested him Friday morning and taken to the Franklin Co. Jail.

According to court records, Katzenmoyer was picking up his daughter at her mother's house when the incident happened.

No word on the details of exactly what happened, other than he violated an active protection order.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Saturday morning in Franklin County Common Pleas Court, but his lawyer went to the judge to plead not guilty on Katzenmoyer's behalf.

The judge assigned to the case made an exception and released him on his on recognizance.  That means no bail amount was set and the defendant has to show up for his next court date.

No word on when that might be scheduled.
