COLUMBUS -- Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Antwyan D. Reynolds, age 32, for one count (F-4) Theft and one count (F-4) Tampering with Records, for a total of two counts.
Reynolds was a former Regional Manager for the tire company.
Michelin has several tire distributors in Ohio.
It is alleged that Reynolds was obtaining a large quantity of tires (around 500) from the Michelin facility in Columbus by falsifying documents.
The value of the tires is approximately $78,000.
The investigators report he either gave away or sold the tires.
O’Brien said “This was a trusted employee who abused his position.”
The theft was discovered after Michelin Security conducted their own internal investigation.
“If found guilty on these charges, the defendant faces a potential twelve months incarceration”, O’Brien stated.
