Fire Decimates Vacant Union Co 'Dance Barn'

PLAIN CITY -- Firefighters from multiple area fire departments responded to a fully engulfed fire that destroyed a vacant barn.
The barn, according to the Jerome Township Fire Chief on scene, used to be known as the 'Plain City Dance Barn'. But, he said it has been vacant for over a decade.
Because of the remote location and intensity of the fire, water had to be trucked in by tankers to be used to protect neighboring homes from being damaged. The barn is said to be a complete loss.
The Ohio State Fire Marshall is responding to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported, and the fire remains under investigation.
