COLUMBUS -- OSU Police say four dogs were left in a vehicle for an unknown amount of time on Thursday evening without any heat.
ABC6/FOX28 was at the OSU Wexner Medical Center parking lot around 6:00 p.m. after a concerned viewer called our newsroom and campus police.
Our camera's found four dogs in a car barking with no heat and no sign of food or it's owner.
Witnesses say the dogs were left unattended all day.
"I left my office you at 5:15 and found two people standing by the car, " said Julie Caldwell. "They said they saw the dogs and they was this morning around 8 a.m."
Campus police were able to make contact with the car's owner, who later showed up on scene.
The man wouldn't identify himself on camera but he did identify himself as a hospital employee.
He showed investigators an ID badge say, "The car has been parked since 8 a.m. The last time it was attended to was at 3 p.m. and the dogs were walked then."
Police have not released the name of the driver as the incident is still under investigation.
