Dog Walkers Find Human Remains In Grandview Heights

UPDATE -- Police have identified the body of a man found dead behind a warehouse in Grandview Heights.
The
Grandview Heights Police Department confirmed Sunday night that the
body is that of Kenneth C. Whitfield, 64 who was reported missing from
OSU Wexner Medical Center on May 18th, 2012.
Detectives with
help from the Columbus Police Department Homicide Division and Franklin
County Coroner's Office said Whitfield's death was not caused by foul
play.
When he disappeared, family members said they were worried he hadn't taken his medication.
His exact cause of death has not been released.

GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS -- Grandview Police are investigating skeletal human remains that were found behind a warehouse Saturday morning.
A couple discovered the remains around 10:00 AM while walking their dog near Edgehill Road.
The man was clothed and had identification, but Columbus and Grandview Police are waiting for the Franklin County Coroner to use dental records to confirm his identity.
Police tell us the man's ID matches someone in the 2012 national missing persons database. Officers think the body has been outside for a while.
The investigation is being handled as a homicide.
