Craigslist Killings Trial Winding Down
Updated: Thursday, March 7 2013, 08:11 PM EST
AKRON -- A Southeast Ohio man refutes the claims of Richard Beasley, who is on trial for murder in the Craigslist killings trial.
Yesterday, Beasley testified on his own behalf, but prosecutors tried to squelch that testimony Thursday.
Jurors have now heard all the testimony they're going to hear in the case where Beasley is accused of luring men to Southeast Ohio with the promise of a job then shooting three men to death and injuring a fourth, Scott Davis.
On the stand, Beasley claimed Davis was the gunman, trying to shoot Beasley because he was working with Akron Police, giving them information about a motorcycle gang.
A member of that motorcycle gang said Davis was never hired to shoot Beasley.
One person who didn't testify is Brogan Rafferty, who was a teenager at the time of the killings and said Beasley was his mentor.
There is no court scheduled for tomorrow, but on Monday the jury will hear closing arguments.
Then they will begin deliberating the fate of Richard Beasley.
If he is convicted, the jury could also recommend the death penalty.
