Chardon Shooter Gets Life in Prison

UPDATE: A judge sentenced TJ Lane life in prison with no possibility of parole.

CHARDON (AP) -- The teenager who killed three students at a northeast Ohio school last year is set to hear his punishment.
A judge in the tight-knit courthouse community of Chardon, east of Cleveland, will sentence T.J. Lane, now 18, on Tuesday on his guilty plea to aggravated murder and other charges. He could face life in prison.
Lane's guilty plea on Feb. 26 came on the eve of the anniversary of the attacks. Three students were killed and three were wounded, two seriously.
Lane wasn't subject to the death penalty because he was 17 at the time of the crimes.
As of 10:30 am -- he had not been sentenced yet.
