Central Ohio Road Conditions
Updated: Friday, January 25 2013, 03:12 PM EST
COLUMBUS -- ODOT is using all available resources to battle the ice and snow that is currently falling throughout the Central Ohio region.
A
total of 124 ODOT snow plows are out on interstates, state and US
routes in Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway
and Union counties.
ODOT crews are plowing and salting to ensure roads and bridges are safe and passable.
ODOT's slogan is "Remember in Ice and Snow, Take it Slow." During a storm, reduce your speed and avoid distractions.
These
124 crews will work throughout the day, and most likely, another shift
will replace these snow plow operators later this afternoon depending on
the track and timing of the storm.
City of Columbus Snow Warriors are on Columbus streets working Friday morning as well.
The
city of Columbus currently has 47 trucks on the road treating State
Routes 33, 104, 315 and arterial streets, bridges and overpasses.
