COLUMBUS -- An exciting day for the students and staff at the Pontifical College Josephinum.
They cheered and applauded when they heard the news of the new pontiff, Pope Francis.
For seminarian Jose Deleon this is a special day. Deleon is of Hispanic descent and is more than pleased with choice of the newly elected pope.
Deleon says, " I'm very happy. He speaks Spanish, he speaks our language. Long live the pope, Viva La Papa."
The seminarians who are studying to become priests, said special prayers for the new pope.
