COLUMBUS -- An animal rescue is desperate to find a puppy and kitten stolen from their cages.
According to staff members at Pets Without Parents, the 9 week old puppy and 8 week old kitten were taken just days apart.
One was swiped during adoption hours last Thursday and the other Monday.
Both animals had been spoken for by adoptive families including Kelly Angle who had put an application in for the kitten.
Angle says she's wanted the kitten since Valentine's day when her boyfriend told her he'd buy her one as a gift.
"It took me a while to decide because they're all very cute and then I picked her out and came two or three days and held her," said Angle.
Staff members have posted notes on the cages to call for a volunteer first before handling the animals.
They ask that the kitten and puppy be returned and say no questions will be asked.
