MARION, Ohio -- For the first time, the family of Amy Aldrich is talking about her murder. Ray Bertuzzi was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday for being the trigger man that claimed her life.
Amy's ex-boyfriend, Bo Cook was convicted of orchestrating her murder; paying Bertuzzi to pull the trigger while Aldrich was watching TV at a cousin's home.
"I did not know that she had been shot, I didn't know what her injuries were, I did not know she had been gone," Amy's mother, Margaret Reed said of the murder.
Now, less than a year after her death, Reed says she's forgiven both Bertuzzi and Cook for their actions. Reed's sister however, holds Cook more responsible for her niece's death.
"I blame Bo," Frankie Plumley said. "I blame him, I blame his lifestyle."
Cook received 20-years behind bars for hiring Bertuzzi. Aldrich's family believes he should have just as harsh a sentence Bertuzzi received.
