STOKES Twp., Ohio -- More than 40 children were transported to a hospital in Bellefontaine after an Indian Lake Local School bus slid off a road and crashed onto its side on Township Highway 88.
Besides some scrapes and bruises, all 41 children on board were released from the hospital without serious injury.
"Medics took (the children) there as a precaution," Ohio Highway Patrol Trooper Dan Lay said.
Troopers believe road conditions were likely a factor in the crash.
"It's obviously very slippery," Capt. Lay said. "It's pretty much white (snow) instead of black asphalt."
A few children had symptoms of a mild concussion and were released to parents in Bellefontaine.
The crash is under investigation.
