Updated: Thursday, April 18 2013, 02:07 PM EDT
CENTERBURG -- A man and a woman are recovering after they were burned in a fire.

Crews were called to the 2600 block of Larimore Road in Centerburg about 12 p.m. on reports that a home was on fire and that two people were burned.

The fire chief on the scene says the man got the woman out of the home but they were both burned and had to be flown by MedFlight to OSU's Wexner Medical Center for treatment.

The 72-year-old male victim suffered from smoke inhalation and his hair, chest, and face were singed.  He also had 1st degree burns on his hands.

Crews had trouble fighting the fire because there was no available water source nearby.  Trucks had to get water from the little stream to fight the fire.

Animal control officials are on the scene as well because the family has several cats as well as two dogs.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
