Police Search for Fraud Suspect who Targeted Senior Home

COLUMBUS (Camille Doty) -- Central Ohio Crime Stoppers is offering a reward to anyone with information leading to an arrest in connection with a theft/fraud case.

They say the suspect entered the Seton West Residential Facility for the elderly in Southwest Columbus around 5:30 p.m. January 10.

Police say he went door to door and told residents he was selling children's books.

He told them that his grandmother lived at the facility.
 
Three residents gave the suspect $10 a piece after he stated he would be dropping off the books on February 2.

He took the money but did not offer a receipt or show identification when he was confronted.
 
The suspect was last seen wearing an OSU pullover.
 
Anyone with information that leads to an arrest is asked to call Columbus Police at 614-461-TIPS. Tips can also be sent via text to "CRIMES" keyword CMH.
