COLUMBUS (Ken Hines) -- An investigation into the alleged groping of a bus driver enabled officers to catch a purse snatcher in the act, according to police.

Officers arrested Jeffrey Sibley on Monday afternoon in Downtown Columbus after witnessing him attempt to steal a woman's purse at a bus stop.

Police were sent to the scene of the alleged robbery attempt after a COTA bus driver told a 911 dispatcher that she was inappropriately touched by a man matching Sibley's description.Police: Columbus Man Caught During Robbery Attempt
