Neighbor Helps Bust Suspected Dublin Mail Thief

Updated: Friday, August 2 2013, 11:42 PM EDT
DUBLIN (Steve Levine) -- A woman fought back against crime in her neighborhood by helping police track down a suspected mail thief.

David Lashawn Robinson faces felony theft charges after, police say, they found stolen mail inside a mini-van he was driving.

"What belongs to my neighbors does not belong to someone else driving around around looking for things," said a woman who called police when she noticed someone behaving suspiciously around a mailbox station.

Dublin Police say Robinson, 39, admitted to stealing mail, stating he would look for boxes with their flags up, then search inside for outgoing bills that might contain personal checks.

Robinson, who has an extensive criminal history, is now free on bond. No one answered the door at his listed address when ABC 6/FOX 28 tried to contact him.Neighbor Helps Bust Suspected Dublin Mail Thief
