COLUMBUS -- Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward to catch a crook who held up a PNC Bank branch in Victorian Village Bank in September.
“He passed a threatening note to the teller, the teller complied,” said Sgt. Gerald Milner of Crime Stoppers.
We’ve learned the threatening note claimed the robber had a bomb inside a backpack he was wearing.
Police say the crook fled the scene in an unknown direction after he held up the bank on Neil Avenue September 30th, and has not been seen or heard from since.
The FBI has nicknamed the robber “the Bluetooth Bandit”, because he had an electronic phone device in his ear when he robbed the bank.
“Could’ve been communicating with someone, it’s quite possible, and probable, because he didn’t seem like he was in a hurry,” said Milner.
The suspect is described as: Male/Hispanic, late 20s to early 30s, 5'4", 130-140lbs, wearing a blue/greenish ball cap, long sleeve button-up purple dress shirt, dark jeans, and black shoes.
