MOBILE, AL -- A Carnival cruise ship has docked after days of being disabled at sea.
Carnival's Triumph ship was carrying more than 4,000 travelers and crew members when a fire knocked out the engines on Sunday including a West Mansfield woman.
Lisa Miller texted with ABC6/FOX28 Thursday night about conditions on board.
Miller said they had no power, showers or working toilets.
She said sewage overflow kept them from sleeping in their rooms.
When out on the deck, they used towels and blankets to shield them from the wind, a storm and cooler temperatures.
She and the rest of the passengers are anxious to return to their families.
Miller said all she wanted was a shower and to be back home again.
But said she's never seen more people come together to help each other and the crew went above and beyond but there was only so much they could do.
