POWELL -- “I was shaking, physically shaking,” said Eileen Martin, shortly after she shot a handgun for the first time.
Gun instructors tell us, conceal & carry classes started filling up last December, shortly after a deadly shooting inside a Connecticut grade school. The killings have led to renewed efforts for more gun control.
“Last year at this time, it is about half of what I am getting now,” says gun instructor Laura Deal.
Laura says a few years ago, her students were mostly men, but today, the majority is women.
“I think we should have the right to bear arms, says Eileen, “my choice, I probably won’t, but I understand the process now”
