ABC 6 "On Your Side" Higher Education Boot Camp is being held on September 16, 2009 from 4:00pm–8:00pm at Veterans Memorial. ABC 6 is "On Your Side" with a Higher Education, and a Boot Camp helping central Ohio students make their education decision. This public service will help the students and families navigate through the important decisions that lie ahead. How to start the application process, applying for scholarships, and how to pay for school, in addition to continuing education and picking the right university are topics to be covered in the Boot Camp. Choosing a college is a lifestyle and lifecycle change that impacts the rest of the student life - ABC6 wants to help. That is what a station that is "On Your Side" does!

Higher Education Boot Camp:
Students and parents are encouraged to attend any and all of the five (5) boot camp sessions that are lead by local experts. The sessions include: the application process, applying for scholarships, financial options, continuing education/vocational schools and picking a university. Students are encouraged to arrive at 3:30pm for pre-registration for the "Boot Camp" sessions. There will also be a great opportunity for your students to speak one-on-one with a college representative in an environment that is specifically catered to their interest. Attendees will be able to schedule campus tours, find out about what individual schools offer and apply for scholarships.

"ABC 6 On Your Side" and Your Company will help central Ohio students make their education decision!" The combined power of ABC 6 and FOX 28 will reach thousands of Central Ohioans through a television/mobile campaign.

Registration Line: Viewers will be directed into two lines at the ABC 6 "On Your Side" Higher Education Boot Camp. One line will be for viewers that wish to attend the Boot Camp sessions and the second line will be for viewers interested in the featured company's booths. There will be signs displayed outside of Veterans Memorial as well as ABC 6 staff to direct you into the proper line.

Admission- Admission to the Higher Education Fair/ Boot Camp is free, as is parking.
Parking- The 950 adjacent, on-site spaces provide ample off-street parking in a well lighted lot. Entrance to the exhibition halls and auditorium are just a few short steps away. All parking is free day of the event.
Directions to Veterans Memorial from 1-70 and 1-71
HEADING SOUTH: Take 1-71 south to the Broad St. exit and turn right. Continue approximately 1.4 miles and cross the Scioto River. Veterans Memorial will be on your right.
HEADING NORTH: Take 1-71 north to the Broad St. exit and turn left. Continue approximately 1.4 miles and cross the Scioto River. Veterans Memorial will be on your right.
HEADING WEST: Take 1-70 west to 1-71 north. Take the Broad St. exit and turn left. Continue approximately 1.4 miles and cross the Scioto River. Veterans Memorial will be on your right.
HEADING EAST: Take 1-70 east to the Broad St. exit and turn left. Go approximately 2 miles and Veterans Memorial will be on your left.
