NORTH COLUMBUS (Rob Wells) -- It's one neighbor people in North Columbus say they'd like to see gone for good. Residents say the home at 1283 Loretta Avenue has turned into nothing but problems since the owner died more than six years ago.

They say the home is over run with weeds, vines, and wild animals. Gary Fields,67, lives next door to the vacant home, and says he's called City of Columbus Code Enforcement and the 311 Center multiple times to ask for help in cleaning up the eyesore.

Records show the property is in probate court, making demolition impossible. Neighbors also say the high weeds have made it easy for looters to dump trash at the abandoned property and use it as a shelter for squatters in the winter. City leaders we spoke with say they'll mow the property and help to clean it up within the next week.Tired of the Mess, Neighbors Push City to Clean up Problem Property
