WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

WINTRY MIX FOR SUNDAY

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY issued for much of Central Ohio today until Monday morning. A rain/snow mix has already moved into the area. Snow is expected for Northern Ohio with Southern Ohio seeing rain then transitioning over to snow briefly Sunday night. According the latest forecast models, the I-70 corridor will be the dividing line between the rain and snow.

***There will be a dramatic cut-off of high snow accumulations to much lower snowfall totals due to the rain.***

Snowfall totals will be 2"-4" along the I-70 corridor. Higher totals for Northern Ohio and less for Southern Ohio.

Stay tuned to the forecast on WSYX ABC 6 and WTTE FOX 28 for any tweaks to the forecast as the storm system nears Central Ohio.

Teen Starts Kickstarter to Pay for College Applications story image
NEW ALBANY (Adam Slinger) – College is expensive. The applications are only the beginning.

“My dad thought the Common Application was submitted once and you pay a one-time fee and it’s done,” said Mollie Koval, a senior at New Albany High School. “I had to break his little heart and tell him that you have to pay about $50 to $75 per school.”

Hoping to spare her single father, Mollie is attempting to pay for college on her own, but asked for a little help to get there.

She just started a Kickstarter campaign asking for $200.

“Help this young woman accomplish her dreams,” she writes on the website, “because if some guy can raise 60,000 dollars to make potato salad, Mollie should be able to pay for her freaking college applications.”

As of late Friday afternoon, she had raised $161 of her $200 goal.
