COLUMBUS (Chelsea Spears) -- A pedestrian who was struck by multiple cars on High Street early Sunday morning is now fighting to stay alive.

The victim is at Grant Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after two cars hit him shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday. The pedestrian was walking across High Street at First Avenue when he was hit by a blue car, flipped and then hit by another vehicle.

Police say the driver of the first vehicle was drunk and now faces DUI charges.

Police interviewed a COTA bus driver who witnessed the accident.
