FRANKLINTON (Rob Wells/Dawn Faugl) -- A man is dead after he and a woman were shot while sitting in a vehicle near the intersection of West Broad Street and Hawkes Avenue Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Dionte Agee, 30, died from his injuries. Sierraerica Gabert, 27, is in critical condition.

Investigators went door to door trying to get information and find witnesses, while a K-9 unit searched alleys near the double-shooting scene. They say there may be two or three suspects they're looking for.

Nearby business owners say while Franklinton is trying to attract new companies, and improve the area, these types of crimes in broad daylight don't help.

Mike Colombini owns a sports diner less than a mile from the shooting scene. He said while business is good, it's hard to attract new customers after this type of crime.

Thursday's shooting comes just days after two men were shot to death at an apartment on Stevens Avenue in Franklinton. Police continue to search for suspects in that case as well.UPDATE: New Information on Franklinton Double Shooting
