COLUMBUS (Csaba Sukosd) -- The Columbus Police department is searching for a man who, according to their investigation, repeatedly injected his son with heroin for over a month.

An arrest warrant was issued for 32-year-old Derrick Buell on charges of corrupting another with drugs, as well as endangering a child.

According to the victim’s mother, the alleged injections started in the parking lot of Riverside Hospital on June 6, with the subsequent incidents taking place in abandoned houses and other isolated places over the next four weeks.

Authorities say Buell took his son with him when he purchased the drugs, and on at least one occasion, he also mixed the anti-anxiety drug Klonopin with what he injected in his son.

Buell, who has 23 prior charges on his record dating back to 2006, hasn’t been seen since the last reported incident on July 4. "Part of the problem we're having right now is locating and he doesn't have a permanent address, we've checked the addresses that have been provided and we would like to make contact with him and get him picked up and arrested,” said Sergeant John Hurst.

The Columbus police are asking anyone that has spotted Buell, or has leads on where he might be, to call.Father Wanted for Repeatedly Injecting his 15-Year-Old Son with Heroin
