COLUMBUS (Steve Levine) – Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward to catch a charge card con man, accused of spending thousands of dollars on other people’s dime.

Security cameras caught the thief buying up expensive clothes, x-boxes and gift cards at a Target and Saks Fifth Avenue at Polaris over Memorial Day weekend.

“He’s done it before, he’ll do it again, because it works,” said Columbus Police Detective Eric Stoddard.

Two days before the suspected thief went on his Polaris spending spree, police say he went to a Walgreen’s Pharmacy on West Fifth Avenue in Grandview and used a cloned credit card to buy cigars and gift cards.

Authorities say the suspect was seen leaving Walgreens wearing a designer “Affliction” T-shirt and then left with two friends in a 2002-2007 model white Buick Rendezvous S.U.V.
