COLUMBUS (Ben Garbarek) -- Fans are still buzzing about the Blue Jackets' run in the playoffs. Friday night hundreds of fans came to Nationwide Arena to watch the NHL Draft.

"It's fun coming here, watching all the different fans coming here," said longtime fan Jared Contraguerro. "We're getting ready to see the newest players for the Blue Jackets."

Sonny Milano was chosen with 16th pick in the draft.

It was a crowd of mostly diehard fans at the draft party, but fans say they're noticing more and more of their friends jumping on the bandwagon.

"It used to be Ohio State number one and then anything else," said fan Kevin Hoover. The Blue Jackets have overtaken that for me. They're number one on my list."

The season starts October 11th against the New York Rangers.Blue Jackets Welcome Fans for Draft Party
