Ohio authorities probe parents in son's death
August 29, 2008 14:02 EDT

CLEVELAND (AP) -- The parents of a boy who died from a type of cancer in March are now subjects of a criminal investigation.

Ryan Miday, spokesman for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office, confirms the investigation into Monica Hussing and William Robinson Sr.

The couple's 8-year-old son, Willie Robinson, died from pneumonia due to Hodgkins lymphoma.

The coroner's verdict deemed his death a homicide and police and the coroner say the boy would have likely survived given the proper cancer treatment.

The boys' parents have previously admitted in juvenile court they didn't provide Willie and their five other children with medical treatment for three years.
